Globally recognised sport events are a great promotion of our cities and the whole country. This fact is obvious to the experts who will deliver their speeches at the second Sport Marketing Promotion conference which will be held on January 28 - 29 in Toruń. PRESS-SERVICE Monitoring Mediów is a partner of this conference.

Karol Lejman, one of the organisers of the conference, says: “The first edition (…) of the conference showed that the demand for such events is very high. We are devoted to the promotion of sport marketing on both sides of this business – both among the sponsors and the sponsored. Experts, representatives of sports clubs and associations, companies which sponsor sport events, and the biggest celebrities of the Polish sport will meet in Toruń to look for new solutions together and share their experience.”
Speeches will be made among others by the Olympic gold medalist Mateusz Kusznierewicz, senator Andrzej Person, Sebastian Bykowski – vice President of the Management Board and Director General of PRESS-SERVICE Monitoring Mediów, Tomasz Redwan – one of the best experts in sport marketing in Poland, and Sebastian Chmara – indoor world champion, Polish record holder in decathlon.
 
On the first day of the conference the experts will talk about PR, sport sponsoring, organisation of sport events, and prestige sports. At the end of the day a panel discussion will be held in which sport celebrities have been invited to participate. At night all the conference participants will have the opportunity to meet at a party organised in Forte Club.
 
The second day of the conference will be devoted to the topic of city promotion through sport. Analyses conducted by PRESS-SERVICE Monitoring Mediów suggest that most big Polish cities are mentioned in the press mainly in the context of sport events or other topics related to sport. This is a great opportunity to use sport marketing to promote our cities. One should not forget about the fact that, especially in the case of regional capitals, every city whose brand is widely recognised can also pride itself on strong sport brands. On the other hand, there are hundreds of places across the world that we would never have heard about if they weren’t home to famous sports teams or hosts of big sports and cultural events.
