10-03-2010
PRESS-SERVICE Monitoring Mediów obtained a special award for the second time in the grand final of a social campaign “Cała Polska Czyta Dzieciom” (We read books to children all over Poland). The ceremony during which the organisers of the campaign thanked the Friends of the action was held on March 8 in the Jewish Theatre in Warsaw.

The gala was an opportunity to reward the people, companies, and institutions which support the actions of the ABCXXI Foundation – Cała Polska Czyta Dzieciom - in various ways. A special award in the form of a gigantic gingerbread cake from Toruń and an invitation to a gingerbread baking show was given to PRESS-SERVICE Monitoring Mediów.

The most active Leaders and Coordinators obtained the awards during the 8th final of the action. 7 superstatues, 5 statues, and 19 medals were awarded by the committee in the competition for the best CPCD campaign organised in the school year 2008/2009. The Provincial Police Headquarters in Katowice was one of the rewarded institutions, as it took part in the action promoting reading books to children in hospitals. A special award for lifetime achievement was given to the writer Małgorzata Musierowicz. The new official Ambassadors who decided to support the Foundation’s campaign were: Joanna Brodzik, Teresa Lipowska, Dorota Zawadzka, and Artur Barciś.

The social campaign “Cała Polska czyta dzieciom” has been run for almost 9 years now. Research conducted by PRESS-SERVICE Monitoring Mediów suggests that the activity of the ABCXXI Foundation was highly publicized last year, and 400 materials concerning the campaign “Cała Polska czyta dzieciom” were published.

PRESS-SERVICE Monitoring Mediów has been cooperating with the Foundation since 2005. Last year the organisers of the CPCD campaign awarded the company with a statue.
